Why increase the number of poor people when this could be easily prevented?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1762129495972456132.post-54030773996527320812011-09-02T00:50:22.816-04:002011-09-02T00:50:22.816-04:00The example of Tiger Wood's hard-driving fathe...The example of Tiger Wood's hard-driving father is a good one. I recall from the time of his first great successes a preachy political cartoon of which the message was, He didn't have a government program, he had a DAD!

The silliness of this moral lesson was kind of stunning to me. I mean, Right, so how soon can we put together a government program so that everyone has a fair chance at the right parents? Never, of course, since it can't be done; so we'll just leave the losers in this lottery to be losers and convince ourselves that they don't deserve success.

It's a sad business. However, I think it was just today that the Wall Street Journal reported on the growing number of people who are impatient with the rich not pulling their weight. Let's fall in and march with Warren Buffett!Porlock Juniorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16791629233605877049noreply@blogger.com
